Concept Cable wins ZCorum?s ?I Love TruVizion? Video Contest

In September ZCorum ran a contest for their customers asking them to create a video that would demonstrate why they love TruVizion, the company?s popular cable modem and CMTS diagnostics solution. ZCorum announced today that the winning entry came from Concept Cable out of Newport, WA. For creating the video that received the most on-line votes, Concept has won a paid trip for two to the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta, where ZCorum is based. The runner up was Cunningham Telephone & Cable based in Kansas.

In the videos, both companies chose to use humor to highlight the value of TruVizion in finding a problem affecting multiple subscribers. According to Wayne Antcliff, President at Concept Cable, while their video was tongue-in-cheek, such as a scene where a subscriber communicates by smoke signals, there was also some truth behind the story. ?Before we started working with ZCorum, we would spend hours trying to find an issue, only to wind up resetting the CMTS or an amplifier?and then never knew what caused the problem. You can compare that to a few weeks ago. We got a call from ZCorum letting us know we had a node down, the node number and how many modems were off-line. We pulled up the problem in TruVizion, and within 5 minutes we knew where the issue was originating from, and within an hour we had everyone back up and running. We were even able to find some problem modems and scheduled calls to get those fixed.?

?We really had a lot of fun putting this contest together?, said Rick Yuzzi, ZCorum?s Vice President of Marketing. ?A few of us even created some sample videos to give our customers some ideas. In the end, we had two great finalists. It was a close contest, but Concept came out on top?.

Opus Interactive Steps Up to Tier III Data Center
